ALBERTO di BARDOWIK. – Chancellor of the city of Lübeck, who lived at the turn of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. We have from him a Chronicle of Lübeck, written in 1298 in the local dialect (Low Saxon), and a Relatio historica de rebus quibusdam sub tempore 1298-1301 gestis. He also compiled, in 1299, the first Lübeck maritime law. He was a priest; the year of his death is unknown.
