ALESSANDRINA DA LETTO, Blessed. - B. at Letto (Sulmona) in 1385, d. at Foligno in 1458. She took the habit of the Poor Clares in 1400. She was in Aquila, and, with other sisters, departed by divine inspiration for Foligno, where she founded the monastery of St. Lucy with the primitive rule of St. Clare. She began to write the history of that same monastery, of which she was abbess in 1425, 1429 and 1434. She died in the fame of sanctity, and was soon enrolled among the blessed. Her feast is celebrated on April 2.
