ALVELDA (ALBELDA), JUAN GONZALES d'. — Spanish theologian, b. at Navarrete (Saragozza) on 18 Jan. 1585, d. in 1622. Having become a Dominican, he was professor of theology at the University of Alcalá from 1612 to 1622. He wrote: *Commentariorum et disputationum in I° partem Summae S. Thomae de Aquino volumina duo* (Alcalá 1621, Napoli 1637).
