ALVELDA (ALBELDA), JUAN GONZALES d’. — Spanish theologian, b. at Navarrette (Saragossa) on 18 January 1585, d. in 1622. Having become a Dominican, he was professor of theology at the University of Alcalá from 1612 to 1622. He wrote: Commentariorum et disputationum in Iʳᵉ partem Summae S. Thomae de Aquino volumina duo (Alcalá 1621, Naples 1637).
