ANALECTA BOLLANDIANA: v. BOLLANDISTI. ANALECTA ECCLESIASTICA. - A monthly periodical, published in Rome from January 1893 to December 1911, founded and directed by Monsignor Félix Cadène (1864-1907), who at his death entrusted its publication to the chaplains of St. Louis of the French. Numerous learned prelates of the Curia collaborated on it. The series presented itself almost as a continuation of the Analecta iuris pontificii (v.) and brought to light new pontifical and Congregation documents; ancient documents illustrating historical, juridical and theological questions; articles and chronicles of various kinds. The first two sections were of greater extent.
A decennial index has been published: A. e., Index generalis decem priorum voluminum ab anno scilicet 1893 ad annum 1902 inclusive, Rome 1904 (the later volumes too are provided with rich analytical indexes).
