ANALECTA BOLLANDIANA: V. BOLLANDISTI. ANALECTA ECCLESIASTICA. — Monthly periodical, published in Rome from January 1893 to December 1911, founded and directed by Msgr Félix Cadène (1864–1907), who upon his death entrusted its publication to the chaplains of S. Luigi dei Francesi. Numerous learned prelates of the Curia contributed to II. The series appeared almost as a continuation of the Analecta iuris pontificii (v.) and brought to light new pontifical documents and documents of the S. Congregations; ancient documents illustrating historical, juridical, and theological questions; and articles and chronicles of various kinds. The first two sections were more extensive.
A ten-year index was published: A. e., Index generalis decem priorum voluminum ab anno scilicet 1893 ad annum 1902 inclusive, Rome 1904 (the later volumes, too, are supplied with comprehensive analytical indexes).
