ANNALES DE LA SOCIÉTÉ SCIENTIFIQUE. — Periodical published in Louvain by the “Société scientifique” of Brussels, founded in 1875 with the aim of fostering the development and dissemination of the sciences by demonstrating in practice that no disagreement exists between the religious and scientific spirit. The Annales, since 1937, have been published in three series, covering the mathematical sciences, the natural and medical sciences, and the economic sciences.
