BENEDETTINE DELLA PERPETUA ADORAZIONE DI CLYDE. – A women’s congregation that originated through the work of several religious women from the Benedictine monastery “Maria-Rickenbach” in Switzerland, who in 1874 went to the United States and established their residence in Nodaway County, near Clyde, Missouri. New houses were subsequently founded in other centers, and today there are six, with 250 religious women. To perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the sisters add educational and charitable apostolates in the parishes.
