CESTAC, LOUIS-EDOUARD, venerable. — Priest, born in Bayonne on 6 January 1801, died there on 27 March 1868. He devoted his entire life to caring for orphans and the re-education of wayward young women, aided splendidly by his sister Elisa. He founded two religious congregations: the Bernardines and the Servants of Mary. His cause of beatification was introduced on 8 April 1908.
