Louis-Edouard CESTAC, Venerable. — Priest, born in Bayonne on 6 January 1801, died there on 27 March 1868. He devoted his entire life to the care of orphans and the re-education of young women who had strayed, admirably assisted by his sister Elisa. He founded two religious congregations: the Bernardines and the Servants of Mary. His cause for beatification was introduced on 8 April 1908.
