CLEMENTE da TERZORIO. – Capuchin historian of the Province of Genoa, born 7 September 1865, died 13 December 1946.
Missionary in Montevideo (1891–93), general secretary of the Missions, and definitory general (1914–32), he wrote, on the basis of archival material, a historical summary: Le missioni dei Minori Cappuccini (10 vols., Rome 1913–38; Europa [I–II], Turchia Asiatica [III–VII], Indie Orientali [VIII–IX], Africa [X]), completing and continuing the history (2 vols., Paris–Rome 1867–72) Rocco da Cesinale (v.). His advanced age prevented him from preparing the two volumes concerning the missions of America and Oceania. He also published a useful Manuale historicum missionum Ord. Min. Capuccinorum (Isola del Liri 1926).
