COMMENTARIUM PRO RELIGIOSIS. – A bimonthly journal published in Rome by the missionary Sons of the Heart of Mary (Claretians).
It first appeared in January 1920 to illustrate matters pertaining to the religious state, especially from a juridical perspective. The material was divided into 7 sections, which it maintains to this day: *Documenti annotati e commentati* [Annotated and commented documents]; *Esegesi*, where the canons of the second part of Book II of the CIC are expounded; *Studi canonici* [Canonical studies]; *Consultazioni* [Consultations]; *Studi vari* [Various studies]; *Cronaca* [Chronicle] and *Bibliografia* [Bibliography]. From 1935, a new section was added on missionary life considered in all its aspects, especially from a juridical standpoint. Since then, the journal expanded its original title by adding *et Missionaris*.
Publication was interrupted due to the world war in the years 1943–45 and resumed in 1946, with the same programs and methods. Servo Goyeneche
