COMMENTARIUM PRO RELIGIOSIS. – Bimonthly journal published in Rome by the missionaries, the Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Claretians).
It first appeared in January 1920 to elucidate matters relating to the religious state, especially in its juridical aspect. The material was divided into seven sections, which it still maintains today, namely: Annotated and commented documents; Exegesis, in which the canons of the second part of Book II of the CIC are expounded; Canonical studies; Consultations; Various studies; Chronicle and Bibliography. From 1935, a new section was added on missionary life considered in all its aspects, especially from the juridical standpoint. From then on, the journal expanded its original title by adding et Missionariis.
Publication was interrupted because of the world war in the years 1943–45, and resumed in 1946, with the same programs and method. Servo Gopeneche
