FÖRDERER, ALBERT. — Priest and politician, born on 3 March 1828 in Rastatt, died on 23 January 1889 in Lahr. Editor of the Anzeiger für Stadt und Land of Lahr, he defended the rights of the Catholic Church with dignified firmness. A member of the Baden diet from 1871 to 1887, he was stabbed to death by a fanatical opponent of the Church.
