FRANCISCANS CALLED LITTLE SISTERS OF THE ORPHANS. – They were founded in 1867 at Bourg-en-Bresse (France) by the priest Giovanni Maria Griffon to provide instruction to orphans and poor children. Approved by the Holy See in 1938, they have 15 houses with 309 sisters.
