MARIE-AMÉLIE FRISTEL. - Religious sister, born at St-Malo on 10 Oct. 1798, died at Paramé on 14 Oct. 1866. Having secured the inheritance of a pious gentleman, she founded at Des-Chênes a refuge for the elderly, gathering around her pious women who later became the first Sisters of the Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary. She lived in the exercise of works of charity, enduring adversities and sorrows with great resignation. The cause of her beatification is underway.
