FRISTEL, MARIE-AMÉLIE. – Religious, born in St-Malo on 10 October 1798, died in Paramé on 14 October 1865. On accepting the inheritance of a pious gentleman, she founded a home for the elderly at Des-Chênes, gathering around her a group of devout women who later became the first Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. She lived in the practice of works of charity, enduring adversities and suffering with great resignation. Her cause of beatification is in progress.
