Brothers of Saint Patrick

FRATELLI DI SAN PATRIZIO. - Religious institute founded at Tallow (County Carlow) in 1808 by the priest Daniel Delany, later bishop of Kildare, for the education and instruction of young people in schools and colleges. It received from Leo XIII the decree of praise on 6 January 1888 and definitive approval on 8 September 1893.

The religious have perpetual simple vows and also devote themselves to the apostolate. In addition to Ireland, they are established in Australia and India, numbering more than 200, with 32 houses.
