JOHN V BAR ARGARÉ. - Nestorian katholikós (900-905), the first who bound himself in writing after his election to carry out his duties well and who ordered all his successors to do the same.
There are preserved by him the Canons for the service of the altar and the Responses to ecclesiastical questions, works that contain a liturgical casuistry.
