L'ITALIA FRANCESCANA. - Quarterly review of Franciscan culture, founded in 1926 and directed by Fr. Ottavio da Alatri, Capuchin (d. 25 Sept. 1943); it was continued by his confreres of the Roman province.
It publishes articles of historical, doctrinal and literary research, and of popularization, concerning Franciscanism especially in Italy. At the end of the first twenty years (vol. 20 [1945]), general indexes (1926-45; Rome 1946) were issued separately. In that year a second series of bimonthly issues was begun. In 1950 the direction passed to the National Centre of the Third Order of St Francis of the Capuchins, in Rome, and the review was also addressed to the groups of the “Friends of St Francis.” Ilario da Milano
