LABREA. - Prelature nullius in the State of Amazonas in Brazil.
It has an area of 201,506 sq km with 44,960 inhabitants, of whom 38,257 are Catholics; it has 3 parishes, 6 regular priests, 3 male religious communities.
The prelature was created by Pope Pius XI with the apostolic constitution Imprescriptibili Dei consilio of 1 May 1925, by dismemberment of the diocese of Amazonas, and as a suffragan of Belem de Pará.
