LEPRIGNANO, CHRISTIAN CEMETERY OF. — In December 1911, in the ancient Capenate territory (Rome), now called Capena, at the Monte della Casetta site, some catacomb galleries were uncovered, containing still-intact tombs.
One of these preserves, scratched into the plaster, an inscription of an Evangelia with the consular date of Leontius and Salustius (year 344). In an arcosolium was also scratched an inscription that invoked a curse against anyone opening the tomb. Two marble inscriptions referred, one to the year 345 and the other, with the monogram, to a presbyter named Martius Firmissimus; in a tomb near the head of the deceased, a glass ampulla was found.
