PAPHAS, Diodorus and Claudianus, Saints, Martyrs. — In the Roman Martyrology they are commemorated on February 26 together with St. Nestor, who is said to have preceded them in martyrdom at Perge in Pamphylia.
The account of their martyrdom comes from the Passio of St. Nestor, which later provided material for a brief Passio of the martyrs themselves, written in Greek and edited by P. Franchi de' Cavalieri. According to this source, the martyrdom of P., D. and C. is said to have occurred under Decius.
