RESPONSIBILITY OF KNOWLEDGE. - A review published in Rome under the direction of the “International Centre for Comparison and Synthesis,” founded and directed by Monsignor Maurizio Raffa. It has been in existence for six years and is staffed by the most qualified exponents of every branch of learning.
Each issue offers essential contributions to the various disciplines, prepared by experts and integrated in the Centre’s meetings through the method of scientific comparison. It also highlights and comments on the most significant developments in the cultural field.
The Centre and its review aim to: a) bring together, in fraternal collaboration, the exponents of the various branches of knowledge and form the assiduous reader in a unitary vision of all reality; b) seek the presuppositions and lay the foundations for a cultural synthesis adequate to the needs of modern times; c) pursue, in the study of concrete problems, closer collaboration among the fundamental disciplines—science, philosophy, and theology—in order to contribute to the spiritual orientation of knowledge; d) promote, with clear openness of mind, every initiative of progress and to valorize the genuine achievements of science and thought; e) revive the sense of responsibility that culture imposes, as a necessary guide for peoples toward supreme ideals; f) engage the authentic aristocracy of contemporary thought in the search for and promotion of the best young minds, to prepare them, in contact with exemplary teachers, to become “the sure guides” of coming generations, the pioneers to whom the torch of civilization may be entrusted.
