RESPONSIBILITY OF KNOWLEDGE. - A review published in Rome under the auspices of the "International Center for Comparison and Synthesis," founded and directed by Monsignor Maurizio Raffa. It has been in existence for 6 years, and the most qualified representatives of every branch of knowledge collaborate with it.
In each issue it offers essential contributions to the various disciplines, elaborated by experts and integrated in the meetings of the Center, using the method of scientific comparison. It also reports on and comments upon the most significant developments in the field of culture.
The Center and the review have the purpose of: a) bringing together in fraternal collaboration the representatives of the various branches of knowledge and training the assiduous reader in a unified vision of all reality; b) seeking the presuppositions and laying the foundations for a cultural synthesis adequate to the needs of modern times; c) pursuing, in the study of concrete problems, a closer collaboration among the fundamental disciplines: science, philosophy, theology, in order to contribute to the spiritual orientation of knowledge; d) encouraging, with clear openness of spirit, every initiative of progress and giving due value to the genuine conquests of science and thought; e) reawakening the sense of responsibility that culture imposes, as the necessary guide of peoples toward the supreme ideals; f) committing the authentic aristocracy of thought of today to the search for and identification of the best young talents, in order to prepare them, through contact with exemplary masters, to be "the sure guides" of the coming generations, the pioneers to whom the torch of civilization is to be entrusted.
