RIMBERT (REIMBERT, REMBERT), Saint. — Benedictine, follower and biographer of St ANSEGIUS (v.), born in Flanders, died 11 June 888. He studied at the monastery of Torhout (Turholt). At the wish of Ansegisus, R. received the ecclesiastical habit and tonsure and became his companion.
