RIMBERT (REIMBERT, REMBERT), saint. — Benedictine, follower and biographer of St. ASCARICO (v.), born in Flanders, died on 11 June 888. He studied at the monastery of Torhout (Turholt). At Anscario’s request, R. received the ecclesiastical habit and the tonsure, and became his companion.
