SIMONE il CUOTATO. – A Christian who offered St. Peter hospitality for many days in his own house at Ioppe or Giaffa (Act. 9:43).
There St. Peter had the symbolic vision of the sheet filled with every kind of animal and received the messengers of the centurion Cornelius (ibid. 10:1–23). Even today pilgrims are shown the traditional site of his house.
