LA VIE CATHOLIQUE. - Settimanale cattolico francese, fondato nel 1924 da M.-F. Gay, with the character of a widely circulated publication, with the aim of making known the activity of Catholics in all sectors of religious, social, scientific, literary and artistic life.
The reports are divided into various sections, according to subject. Noteworthy are the special issues on the occasion of significant events or demonstrations. Worthy of mention is the resolute stance in defense of the Pontiff's actions taken by La v. c. on the occasion of the condemnation of Action française (v.). From 1945, with a changed typographical format, it has been published under the title La vie catholique illustrée.
