SPIRITUAL LIFE, THE. - A French monthly review, founded in 1919 by the Dominicans of the Theological School of St-Maximin, with the aim of directing cultured persons toward the spiritual life according to Church doctrine.
Subsequently passing under the direction of the Dominicans of Juvisy, from 1922 it had, alongside the normal edition, an expanded edition including a supplement with three sections (Chroniques, A travers les revues, Les livres) aimed especially at spiritual directors. Interrupted during the Second World War, the supplement was resumed in May 1947.
