ABBA CORNAGLIA, PIETRO. – Musician, born in Alessandria on 20 March 1851, died there on 2 May 1894. Organist and director of the cathedral chapel, he wrote the cantata Caino ed Abele, operas for the theatre

and a Messa di Requiem. Among various pamphlets on musical culture, he left a Storia e Filosofia della Musica.
