ADORATRICES OF THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD. – A female religious congregation founded in Acuto in 1834 by the Venerable Maria De Mattias for the instruction and education of youth in kindergartens and schools of every grade. Approved by the Holy See in 1878, it now numbers over 2,000 sisters in 280 houses.
