ALBINO

ALBINO. - A Roman patrician, senator and consul, accused in 523 by the referendary CYPRIAN of plotting with the Eastern emperor JUSTIN against THEODORIC; his defense was undertaken by the celebrated BOETHIUS, who thereby incurred the wrath of the suspicious sovereign. A. was put to death, but the precise date of his execution is unknown.
