ALBINO. — A Roman patrician, senator, and consul, accused by the referendary Cyprian in 523 of conspiring with the Eastern emperor, Justin, against Theoderic; his defense was undertaken by the celebrated Boethius, thereby bringing upon himself the wrath of the suspicious sovereign. A. was condemned to death, but the precise date of his execution is unknown.
