ALBINO. - Roman patrician, senator and consul, accused by the referendary Cyprian, in 523, of conspiring with the Eastern emperor, Justin, against Theodoric; his defense was undertaken by the famous Boethius, who by this act drew upon himself the wrath of the suspicious sovereign. A. was put to death, but the precise date of his killing is unknown.
