Also known as: Amolo of Lyon

AMOLO. - Bishop of Lyon from 841 to 852: died on 31 March 852. He wrote against the errors of Gottschalk (v.) concerning predestination: Epistola ad Gotheschalcum; De gratia et praescientia Dei; B. Augustini sententiae de praedestinatione (PL 116, 77-184). He is commemorated in certain local liturgical books of Lyon, but he had no true cult.
