ANALECTA MONTSERRATIANA. - Annual publication in the Catalan language, begun in 1917, with the aim of making known the life and history of the famous Benedictine monastery of Montserrat, so distinguished in the religious, civil, literary, and artistic history of Catalonia, indeed of all Spain; as well as of the other Benedictine monasteries that have had relations with II.
Following the monographic studies, which form the most important and most helpful part for scholars and deal with the library, the archive, the preserved documents (codices, manuscripts, choir books, ancient prints), and literary, musical, and artistic works, are the annual chronicles, which recount the various activities of the monastery carried out in the religious sphere (worship and pilgrimages), art, and culture.
