ANALECTA ORDINIS PRAEDICATORUM. – Periodical publication begun in 1893 at the initiative of the Master General Andrea Frühwirth. Its purpose is to publish, for the benefit of scholars, but above all for the glory of the Dominican Order and as an example and incentive to its members, the abundant archival material gathered and able to be preserved, at least in part, amid the vicissitudes of the times.
The contents of each issue are divided into various sections: Decrees and Acts of the Holy See concerning the Dominican Order in its various branches; Bulls of the Pontiffs and decrees of the Sacred Congregations issued in the past and remaining partly unpublished; monographs on the history of individual convents and provinces; studies and monographs on the principal members, known for their holiness and learning.
The first series consists of 6 in-4° volumes covering the years 1893 to 1904; the second series, begun in 1905 in a smaller format, likewise continues the fine and learned tradition of its beginnings.
