ANALECTA ORDINIS PRAEDICATORUM. - A periodical publication begun in 1893 by decision of the Master General Andrea Frühwirth. Its purpose is to publish, for the benefit of scholars, but above all for the glory of the Dominican Order and for the example and encouragement of its members, the abundant archival material gathered and preserved, at least in part, through the vicissitudes of the times.

The content of each issue is divided into various parts: Decrees and Acts of the Holy See concerning the Dominican Order in its various branches; Bulls of the Pontiffs and decrees of the Sacred Congregations issued in the past and in part still unpublished; monographs on the history of individual convents and provinces; studies and monographs on the principal members, noted for holiness and for learning.

The first series consists of 6 volumes in quarto, running from 1893 to 1904; the second series, begun in 1905, in a smaller format, likewise continues the fine and scholarly tradition of its beginnings.
