ANNEGARN, GIUSEPPE. - Historian, b. at Ostberven on 12 Oct. 1794, d. at Braunsberg on 8 July 1843. A priest and from 1856 professor of ecclesiastical history at the lyceum of Braunsberg. His works: Allgemeine Weltgeschichte für die kath. Jugend und Erwachtsne (8 vols., Münster 1827-29); Handbuch der Patrologie (Münster 1839, 8th ed. 1899); Geschichte der christlichen Kirche (3 vols., Münster 1842-43).
