ANNIBALIANO. - Nephew of the emperor Constantine the Great, he was assigned by his uncle, as his direct domain, the government of Armenia and Pontus. While he was marching to war against Shapur II, king of the Persians, who wished to invade those provinces, he learned of Constantine’s death (337) and suspended the expedition; soon after, in the massacres that occurred in Constantinople, he was killed along with other relatives of the deceased emperor.
