ARCHIVO IBERO-AMERICANO. – A historical periodical, now quarterly, published by the Franciscan friars of the Iberian Peninsula. It has been issued in Madrid since 1914. Its contributions on American and Eastern missions are particularly noteworthy. The journal abandoned the publication of unpublished documents extracted from archives, especially from the *General de Indias* in Seville. The review was interrupted in 1936 when the college named after Cardinal Cisneros—built specifically to house it in 1924—was destroyed along with its rich library during the Spanish Civil War. Publication resumed in 1941, marking a new era.
