ARCHIVUM HISTORICUM SOCIETATIS IESU. - A bi-annual periodical published in Rome by the College of Historians of the Society of Jesus (*Collegium scriptorum de historia Societatis Iesu*), beginning in 1932. This association, which originated in Spain for the publication of the series *Monumenta historica Societatis Iesu*, moved to Rome in 1929 and was also entrusted at that time with the task of producing a periodical dedicated exclusively to the history of the Order. The program was drafted in 1931 by a commission presided over by Fr. Pietro Tacchi Venturi. The journal includes critical dissertations, texts and sources that are unpublished or rare, bibliographical notes, and chronicles. A systematic, annotated bibliography of publications on Jesuit history from 1931 onwards is continuously published. The articles, written in the principal European languages, are preceded by a Latin summary; this language is used for editorial purposes.
