ASSOCIATION (L’) CATHOLIQUE. – Social journal, begun in Paris in January 1876 as an outgrowth of the famous Oeuvre des cercles catholiques d’ouvriers, established and directed by the two pioneers of French Catholic corporatism, the marquis Renato de la Tour du Pin and the count Alberto de Mun. The periodical’s title subsequently bore the subtitles Revue des questions sociales et ouvrières, and then Revue du mouvement catholique social. In 1910, A. C. became Le Mouvement social. Revue catholique internationale, and was published by the Jesuits of the Action Populaire of Reims. Renato Fontenelle
