ASSMAYER, IGNAZ

ASSMAYER, IGNAZ. — Musician, born in Salzburg on 11 February 1790, died in Vienna on 31 August 1862. A pupil of Michele Haydn, he was a renowned organist and composer. Kapellmeister of the court chapel, he wrote 15 Masses, 5 oratorios, and many other sacred pieces, not all of them published.
