BAKER CITY, diocesi di. — In Oregon, United States of America, suffragan of Portland. Erected on 19 June 1903 through the dismemberment of the diocese of Oregon (now the archdiocese of Portland), this diocese comprises two-thirds of the state of Oregon, with an area of more than 182,240 sq. km. It has 23 parishes, with 32 diocesan and 8 religious priests, and 11,600 Catholics out of 250,000 inhabitants (1948).
