BASILI, ANDREA. — Composer, b. at Città della Pieve (1703?), d. at Loreto on 29 Aug. 1777. Organist at the Santa Casa, he is the author of much sacred music, an oratorio, organ pieces (manuscripts in the archive of the Santa Casa) and a manual of harmony and counterpoint for organists and harpsichordists.
