BAZZINI, ANTONIO. — Composer and violinist, born in Brescia in 1818, died in Milan in 1897. Chapel master in Brescia, then professor and director of the Milan Conservatory. An eminent concert performer, he composed, among other works: the oratorio La resurrezione di Cristo, Psalms LI and LVI, the so-called “symphony-cantata” Sennacheribbo (from Psalm XXV), the overture Saul, a Mass, vespers, etc.
