Bernardino de Planes

BERNARDINO de PLANES. - Prior of the charterhouse of Montalegre, near Barcelona, d. 1694.

He wrote several ascetical works, among them the Concordancia Mistica, Barcelona 1669, in which he treats at length of the purgative, illuminative and unitive life, and demonstrates that the mystical doctrine of St. Teresa of Avila conforms to the doctrine of the Holy Fathers and of the doctors of the spiritual life.
