BINAGO, LORENZO. – Barnabite, architect, born and died in Milan (1556–1629). His most significant work is the reconstruction of S. Alessandro in Milan, in broad and solemn forms, begun in 1602 and left unfinished. Also noteworthy are the church of the Barnabites in Casale, inaugurated in 1594, and S. Marco in Novara. His pupil was F. M. Richino (v.).
