BRY, CARL CHRISTIAN. – This was the pseudonym of the writer Carlo Decke, born in Stralsund on 12 April 1892, died in Davos on 9 February 1926.
Of his works, the best known are: Des Buches Werdegang und Schicksal (“The History and Destiny of the Book,” 1924); and Verhappte Religionen (“Veiled Religions,” 1925). In these works, rich in ingenious paradoxes, he combats all the pseudo-doctrines concerning human well-being, insisting upon the need for a deeper understanding of the Catholic religion.
