BRY, CARL CHRISTIAN. — This was the pseudonym of the writer Carlo Decke, born in Stralsund on 12 April 1892, died in Davos on 9 February 1926.

Among his works, the best known are: *Des Buches Werdegang und Schicksal* (“The Book’s Development and Fate,” 1924); and *Verkappte Religionen* (“Veiled Religions,” 1925). In these works, rich in ingenious paradoxes, he combats all pseudo-doctrines of human salvation by insisting on the need for a deeper understanding of the Catholic religion.
