BUDKIEWICZ, KONSTANTIN. – Priest, born in 1867 in Livonia, died on 30 March 1923 in Petrograd. He studied at the metropolitan seminary of Mohilev and at the Ecclesiastical Academy of Petrograd. He subsequently taught in Vitebsk and was parish priest, dean, and vicar general at the church of S. Caterina in Petrograd. Accused by the Bolsheviks, Cieplak (v.) and fourteen other priests, of having failed to register and surrender the church treasury, he was sentenced to death and executed by firing squad on Good Friday 1923.
