BUDKIEWICZ, KONSTANTIN. - Priest, b. in 1867 in Livonia, d. on 30 March 1923 in Petersburg. He studied at the metropolitan seminary of Mohilev and at the Ecclesiastical Academy of Petersburg. He then taught at Vitebsk and was parish priest, dean and vicar general at the church of St. Catherine in Petersburg. Accused by the Bolsheviks, together with Archbishop Cieplak (v.) and fourteen other priests, of having failed to register and to hand over the church treasure, he was condemned to death and shot on Good Friday of 1923.
