CANTATORIUM. — In the Roman liturgy, this was the book containing the singing of the gradual. We have attestation of it in the Ordo Romanus I, where it is read: "After (the subdeacon) has read (the Epistle), the cantor with the cantatorium ascends and says the responsory." V.
