CLAUDIO, ASTERIO, NEONE, DOMNINA and TEONILLA, saints. — Martyrs of Aegea (in Cilicia) in 285; the Western martyrologies commemorate them on 23 August, whereas the Greek synaxaries list them on 30 October and 27 January. Two Latin recensions of the original Acts have been preserved, both differing from those abridged in the Synaxary of Constantinople and in the Menologion of Basil. The two holy women D. and T. were added subsequently to the primitive group.
