TITUS FLAVIUS CLEMENTS, CONSUL. — Titus Flavius C., consul in the year 95, cousin of the Emperor Domitian and husband of Flavia Domitilla, a man of “most despicable indolence” in the words of Suetonius, accused of atheism according to Cassius Dio, was condemned to death in the same year as his consulship. It is generally believed that he was killed on account of his Christianity, given the nature of the charges.
