CATHOLIC COSMOS. - A large-format illustrated Catholic fortnightly review, published in Rome from January 1899 to January 1, 1903.

It began publication under the title Catholicum, later changed to C. c. in the second half of the same year. Its purpose was to provide readers in all countries with a contemporary chronicle of the Holy See and of the Catholic world, following religious and moral progress in the various states, the work of missionaries, and the manifestations of Christian genius in the sciences, letters and arts.

It was initially published in the principal European languages, later limited to the Italian and French editions only.
