DADISÒ (DADIESU). – Abbot of the Nestorians, b. 529, d. 604. A native of Bét-Dârâjé, a district of Bét-Arâmâjé. At first he was a hermit in Ardabeene, then a monk in the famous monastery founded by ABRAHAM OF KAŠKAR on Mount Izlâ (5th cent.). The work begun by ABRAHAM and codified by him in the canons of 571 was worthily continued by D., his successor in the direction of the monastery, who also composed canons in January 588.
