DE SPECTACULIS. - A short treatise, attributed to St. Cyprian (in the manuscripts it follows the letters of Cyprian), which in the form of an epistle admonishes the faithful people not to attend the pagan games. A more beautiful spectacle is offered to the Christian by the universe and by Sacred Scripture. The author of this little work is in all probability the schismatic Novatian. The author has often followed the identically titled work of Tertullian.
