DE SPECTACULIS
A short treatise attributed to St. Cyprian (in the manuscripts it is followed by Cyprian’s letters) which, in the form of an epistle, admonishes the faithful not to attend pagan games. A more beautiful spectacle is offered to the Christian by the universe and by Holy Scripture. The author of this little work is most probably the schismatic Novatian. The author often followed the monograph of Tertullian.
