DIACRINÒMENI. — From the Greek διακρινόμενοι, the term means “hesitant” and was used by Leonzio Bizantino to designate the Monophysites and Eutychians who rejected the decisions of the Council of Chalcedon. They are called d. because at first they doubted the authenticity of St. Leone’s letter to Flaviano.
