DIACRINOMENI. — From the Greek διακρινόμενοι, the term means “tributaries” and was adopted by Leontius of Byzantium to designate the Monophysites and Eutychians who rejected the decrees of the Council of Chalcedon. They are called diacrinomeni because they initially doubted the authenticity of St. Leo’s letter to Flavian.
