DUROCHER, EULALIE. – In religion, Marie-Rose, foundress of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, born at St-Antoin-sur-Richelieu (Canada) on 6 October 1811. From her youth she intensely loved suffering and a life of concealment and work for the good of the parishioners. Under the guidance of Fr. Telmon and together with Mlle Mélodie Dufresne and Mlle Henriette Céré, she devoted herself to the education of the young. She died on 6 October 1849, after overcoming many difficulties in the propagation of the Institute.
