DUROCHER, EULALIE. - In religion, Marie-Rose, foundress of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, b. at St-Antoin-sur-Richelieu (Canada), on 6 Oct. 1811. From her youth she intensely loved suffering and a life of hiddenness and work for the good of the parishioners. Under the guidance of Fr. Telmon and together with the young ladies Mélodie Dufresne and Henriette Céré, she devoted herself to the education of youth. D. on 6 Oct. 1849, after having overcome many difficulties for the spread of the Institute.
