DUROCHER, EULALIE. — In religion, Marie-Rose, foundress of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, b. at St-Antoine-sur-Richelieu (Canada), 6 Oct. 1811. From her youth she cherished an intense love of suffering and a life of hiddenness and labor for the good of parishioners. Under the guidance of Fr. Telmon and together with Mademoiselle Mélodie Dufresne and Henriette Céré, she devoted herself to the education of youth. She made her profession on 6 Oct. 1849 after overcoming many difficulties in the propagation of the Institute.
